Bank$
Bio
Born in Khayelitsha, a famous township in Cape Town in the Western Cape, originating in the Eastern Cape in a small town called Mount Frere, Loyiso Arnold Pendu aka "Bank$" to his fans, is pure talent that
comes out from South Africa. Loyiso grew up in Site C in Khayelitsha where he discovered and embraced his love for music. The 28-year-old rapper discovered his passion for spitting lyrical rhymes at the age of 12 at Vuselela Public Primary School during a talent showcasing in 2002. He participated in musical activities, from joining the school choir and a school dramatic group. Loyiso completed his matric at Matthew Goniwe Memorial High School in Khayelitsha Cape Town where he was studying Dramatic Arts and Music. This led him to participate into a lot of Art and Musical Festivals with his Dramatic Arts Group, even though they've never make it so big at least they had earned a small portion of recognition. After his matric year he was forced to leave Cape Town for Eastern Cape due to a crisis that his family was going through, so he had to leave Cape Town for 5 years of no returning back to the big city of Cape Town. But that didn't stop him from pushing the love of music, he made several attempts trying to build up his own label during that time in Eastern Cape but they never come to success due to financial problems and during that time the scarcity of jobs was rating high at Eastern Cape. His musical path was becoming more and more complicated to pursuit, due to the lack of resources and recording materials. In 2013 he left Mount Frere, Eastern Cape with one goal of chasing his dreams. In 2014 he joined GNote Records, produced by "Star" Jaji, he worked on a couple of singles (to name a few "Go hard and I know") which they never saw the light after a disagreement between the artist and the producer, and that left "Bank$" with no choice but to move on with life even though he never left GNote (still with G Note), in 2015 and 2016 he spent most of his time in studio doing music with his fellow mate Cairo who also rep GNote. Loyiso, started working with V2V Records which is owned by Empire the producer, currently 'Bank$' is workin on a debut EP which is set to drop this year on the first week of July and is set to drop a mixtape but the release date hasn't been discussed yet. This is the year for Bank$ to prove that he's not here to play games and the Africa brace for what's coming soon.
