Xayden Flawless

My name is Xavier John Mhagama, professionally known as Xayden Flawless. I’m one of the emerging artists in the Bongo Flava scene in Tanzania and a co-founder of Flawless Wave Entertainment. I was born and raised in Keko, Dar es Salaam, and my love for music started from a very young age where I began learning how to sing, write songs, and play instruments like guitar, piano, and drums through one of the best talent development programs in the world “The Church”.
I’m a singer, songwriter, performing artist, and actor, and I love exploring different musical styles like R&B, Afropop, and Bongo Flava fusion. In a short time, I’ve been able to share my music with people through songs that carry real messages and a flavor that’s truly my own. I enjoy every part of the creative process and being able to connect with audiences through my work.
One of my biggest achievements so far has been contributed by me being part of creative communities like the Tanzania Philharmonic Society (TPS) and African Film, Arts and Social Revolution (AFASR) those have helped me grow as an artist, gain stage experience, and collaborate with other young talents. My approach was also shaped by dramaturgy workshops and performance experiences through The WONDARLAND Project in 2024, which taught me to trust dance and movement as powerful ways to express emotions beyond words.
In 2023 I released my debut Extended Playlist, FLAWLESS EP, in 2023, showcasing diverse music genres, and through this EP, I bring stories of love across bongofleva, rumba, afropop, salsa, and amapiano. Also Performing on some of the most important local stages and festivals in Tanzania. events such as the Bagamoyo Festival of Arts and Culture, Nafasi Art Space, Russian Cultural Centre, and Urafiki Festival in Zanzibar has been a highlight of my career, giving me the chance to connect with audiences, build confidence, and showcase my artistry on professional platforms.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue using art and music to inspire personal growth and social change. I want to entertain, spread love, promote peace, protect children, and create performances that connect with people, challenge perspectives, and leave a lasting impact. I aspire to grow as an artist whose work not only entertains but also uplifts and inspires communities around me.
