Open call: Peer-to-peer exchange programme in Tanzania
As part of the project Deconfining Arts, Culture and Politics in Europe and Africa, the ITI Germany, in cooperation with Nafasi Art Space Tanzania, is looking for African and European artists, cultural producers from organisations or groups from different artistic disciplines.
- The application deadline is 21 March.
The peer-to-peer exchange programme will take place as a series of workshops from July to November 2025 (two online workshops and one workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in the first week of November) and will address the challenges of intercontinental collaboration and mobility. There will also be a submission of a written experience report by February 2026.
The workshop series invites representatives from organisations or groups working across artistic disciplines. Ideal participants should be actively engaged in artistic practice, cultural production, or advocacy and are dedicated to addressing mobility challenges and advancing the topic of intercontinental cooperation and support in the arts and cultural policy between Africa and Europe.
By fostering mutual exchange with experts, the series aims to develop innovative concepts that promote appreciative artistic collaboration and interrogate structural barriers around administrative hurdles and beyond.
The participation is free of charge. Travel expenses, catering, and accommodation during the on-site workshop will be covered. Participants will receive an honorarium for the contribution of the written experience report.
Interested applicants can apply here before 21 March.
