Abbey Chokera

Dr. Abbey Chokera is an experienced cultural professional from Nairobi, Kenya.

Chokera graduated from the University of Florida with a Ph.D in Music Education. He currently works as a senior assistant director at the Permanent Presidential Music Commission in the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage. Chokera is also the founder of Nairobi music group Bel Canto Chorus.

He has worked as a music educator and choral musician in Kenya and the US and has taught music at Moi Girls School Nairobi, Kenyatta University and University of Florida.
