Roy MacGregor

I have been playing and recording music for 45 years. I am a member of the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO). I have composed music for TV dramas and documentaries. I did this whilst working in the Film and TV industry as a director/cameraman. I made music videos and documentaries. I worked with Lucky Dube, Brenda Fassie, Chicco, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many other famous South African artists.

After a career in movies I have now started my music career at the age of 58. I have produced and released an album of song demos and an instrumental guitar based theme album. I have just started, these are my showreels as composer, engineer, producer, arranger and I played all instruments except for the cello. I hope to collaborate and develop young talent and although I live in Cape Town my projects can all be done via the net
