Original Ras Korby

Korby Hingira Dieri Dandara Dunyaka is better known to South Sudan music lovers as Original Ras Korby.

A proud member of the Bongo tribe and native of Western Bahr Al Ghazal state, the outwardly self-confident Ras Korby says he calls himself Original because that’s the kind of music he creates.

Whether true or not, there is no denying that he is one of the most popular reggae musicians in South Sudan, with a growing following both inside and outside the new nation. Ras Korby is currently the voluntary president of the South Sudan Musicians Union and an advocate of using music to end war.
