Plays traditional music, the maloya - this musical form which, like the blues, is rooted in slavery, has close ties to Creole culture. Lulled by the winds of the coast and Reunion Islands, this dynamic group of 6 members celebrates and defends its culture, carrying the torch of their ancestors. With its fascinating and playful percussions, DESTYN MALOYA has not stopped developing and changing over the past twenty years, bringing new approaches to their music and revealing rhythms with very mixed colors. It is a transmission of passion and tradition to future generations.
On stage, Ramaye Fabrice, singer and singer, leads the boat: his taut and incisive "Flow", and the power of his voice really impresses. He is surrounded by a percussion artillery which raises the temperature and the audience is trained in the musical current it gives off. With assorted traditional percussions, he set the stage on fire. The lyrics of the group's music remind listeners, like a "homecoming", of the sufferings of slaves, their struggles for freedom and their daily problems: jealousy , manipulation, illness. The versatility of the group members also gives the group a great musical variation.
Their youth and their explosive talent reinvent the traditional maloya to embellish it: salègy rhythms, Samba, ska, ragga, afro béât. Go wild, served by a breathtaking stage performance of generosity. On a rhythm of hell, DESTYN offers us a unique music; energetic and powerful, emergence of new talents of Reunionese music.
