Gazza

Lazarus Shiimi, who performs as Gazza, has distinguished himself as one of the most commercially successful and best-selling recording artists in Namibia, under the self-owned record label GMP. His music can be defined as an urban, funky fusion of Afro-house, kwaito, dancehall and hip-hop, accompanied by electrifying stage performance skills that will leave you asking for more.

In late 2014, Gazza released a hit album, ‘Ondjila’, which is currently making waves on the southernAfrican music scene. The album is at an early promotional stage, with tours and video releases lined up. , The album saw Gazza do studio and stage collaborations with award-winning Nigerian artist Davido and South African acts DJ Buckz, UDU and Revolution.

With 10 albums to date, Gazza has won more than 30 music awards, including three Namibian Artist of the Year awards (most recently in 2014/2015) and two Channel O Africa awards.
