Ginno

Ginno (real name Gerson Gomeb) is a Namibian gospel singer who was born in Khorixas. He started singing for a school choir while in high school. He gained recognition upon joining Khorixas Lutheran Youth Group in 2007. He later moved to Otjiwarongo where he nurtured his talent. Here Ginno managed to record his debut album, ‘Jesub Sarab Ai’ (on the cloth of Jesus). The album earned him respect in the Namibian gospel scene and he began to receive invites to perform in public. This was followed by the release of his second album, ‘Blessing Everlasting Joy’.

In 2012, Ginno moved to Windhoek and began working with a number of musicians such as Clerence Gaingob, Elvis Skrywer, Lentina and Charles Golden. These four assisted him to record his third album, ‘Ma Aote’ (give me back). In October 2014, Ginno launched his fourth studio album titled ‘My Victory’. He has done a number of live performances, most notably at the 2013 NBC TV gospel show popularly known as ‘The New Season’.
