Kudzai Sevenzo
Bio
Born on 3 May 1979, Kudzai Sevenzo is a singer and songwriter from Harare, Zimbabwe.
She attended Courteney Selous Primary and Chisipite Schools in Harare. She also attended Speciss College and later Mhepo Jazz Band after her studies. She was also part of the Celebration Choir. She gained fame in 2004 when she represented Zimbabwe at the M-Net reality musical show called Project Fame.
In 2005, she released her debut album ‘On a Day Like This’. The album earned her the Best New Artist and Most Aspiring Female Artist of the Year nominations at the 2005 Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA). In 2010, she released her second album ‘Child of Afrika’ which featured ‘Pole Pole’, a duet she did with Oliver Mtukudzi.
Apart from music, she is a TV and radio presenter as well as a performing artist.
