The project seeks to engage creatives from different disciplines in a two-season podcast series of 12 episodes each, which will run in February and May 2020. The episodes will be published in a mix of classical Arabic and local dialects on multiple online platforms.
The topics in the podcast will:
- Highlight the independent arts and culture sector.
- Encourage discussions on theoretical and practical matters.
- Engage with regional actors and the public.
- Highlight the discursive and intersectional spaces that exist within organisations, communities and activist groups.
The application deadline is 25 August 2019 (11pm Beirut time). Selected individuals will be notified on 7 October.
Successful applicants will attend a training workshop in November 2019, where they will participate in hands-on sessions in sound design and podcast production and learn to prepare, script and execute their projects.
The date and venue will be announced at a later stage.
