Konkalazi

Konkalazi is a band from Malawi made up of five members namely Dan (aka Sirius), Rosha, Edson, Kingsley and MackCarthy. The members are broad-minded young musicians who can write and compose music. Founded in 2008, the band sings soul, reggae, funk, RnB and jazz music. Their music mainly focus on issues of HIV/AIDS, spirituality, relationships and many other social challenges faced by people of Malawi on regular basis.

They have participated at a number of concerts. In 2012, they won the Music Crossroads Malawi National Finals. The win earned them a ticket to participate at the Music Crossroads International Festival that was held in Maputo, Mozambique. They came first and toured five European countries. The tours were a token of appreciation by Music Crossroads.
