Asanda Bam
Bio
Hailing from the friendly city of Port Elizabeth, Asanda Bam started singing at an early age. At the age of 18 she joined one of South Africa's popular gospel groups, Joyous Celebration. She continued to cut her teeth as a backing singer before going solo, releasing her debut album 'Fragile' in 2009 to rave reviews, with the single ‘Brand New Day’ being released internationally.
She has since shared a stage with big international names, such as Angelique Kidjo, Jamelia, Corrine Baley Rae and others. She has also collaborated with top local artists such as Thandiswa Mazwai, Gloria Bosman, Tsepo Tsola, Swazi Dlamini, Oskido and Spikiri. Her music boasts of her versatility in afro-soul, jazz, rhythm and blues and sultry ballads for listeners of all ages and musical tastes.
