CONNIE MUZIKI

Artistic Biography- Collins Ochanda(“Connie Muziki”)

Nothing makes good story better than great music. “Connie muziki” was born in 1998 and grew up in a small village London in Nakuru. He developed love for music at an early age, from the age of six.
After high school, he joined keytatu sanaa Music band in Nakuru. In that band he was a lead vocalist and he played at various venues in Nakuru, gaining experience and having fun. After Keytatu Sanaa Music band he decided to join another band known as “Dowe Music and art band” where he focused on building his professional career. He enjoyed playing in churches and crusades.
In the year 2020, he decided to do street shows, with his guitar skills, singing and writing lyrics he immediately gathered loyal fan base around him. His style of music is not limited to gospels only but he was also influenced by other genre e.g. rhumba and reggae. He became famous on his live music performance. He was awarded a certificate after he attended a workshop known as “Performance after Lunch (PAL)” which was held in Nakuru players theatre.
In the year 2021, Connie muziki participated in talanta mtaani show which was aired by KTN and PPP TV.
In the year 2022 connie was selected to join a sarakasi mentorship program called TALANTA NA AMANI .which was sponserd by the US Embassy for (social arts and development course ) which was running for 9 months , thats where he meet priest the poet , and there on they did a piece called a letter to a father which went viral
In the year 2022 connie muziki participated in a competition called poetry after lunch (PAL)with priest the poet in Nairobi which they become position one and they performed to cabinet secritary(CS) Ababu na mwamba also in 2023 connie muziki has also performed the concept show with nyash the poet at nairobi at cheche bookshop at that point connie muziki decided to do a concept show with priest the poet, Lookit_Art and benaya called the first mass which has made him famous with his style of music fused with spoken word
On march 10 2023 connie muziki also performed at THE PEOPLE DİALOGUE FESTİVAL (P.D.F) in nairobi

İn partnership with nakuru players theatre and simor music connie muziki was featured in a show called support when Alive concert where by he performed live his songs on april 29 2023

His journey continued where by he has performed in many ocasions and places as a guitarist and vocalist with willie oeba
