Themba Xosa also known as (Crisso) a rapper born on February 04 1990 at (clinic/location).Crisso is the older son of Nomhle Lauretta Xosa and Vusi Mayisela out of three chlidren. Crisso’s father left when he was Four years old and he’s mother had to raise them by herself .Crisso started school at Zamukhanyo Primary School and went to East Rand School of Art (ERSA) that’s where his passion for music started. Crisso’s love for music was given platform to grow, when he was introduced to other musical instruments and other forms of art in ERSA during his high school life. Although he could not master any but he knew he was destined to be greatest in making music. Crisso started rapping in 2005 and was influenced and inspired by the likes of PRO kid, Zola and 50cents. In 2007 Crisso lost focus at school and decided to drop out and ventured out towards his musical journey. Although it was a harsh and a naïve decision but Crisso went to a newly opened school where he was attending called Vunani Imfundo second chance school. He did great at school and Crisso got a chance to enhance his skills at an artisan college named: African International Training Facility (AITF) that’s where he did his Plumbing courses and got his certificates and graduated but decided to follow his calling which was music that’s when he went back to the studio and consider music as his only choice of career and spent a lot of time in the studio. Crisso then gained esteem and confidence by meeting other artists with different sound and music. Coming from a poor background Crisso had to depend on piece jobs for income and financial assurance. Although he was financially struck that did not stop him from chasing his dreams, Crisso did not just stop at being a rapper he wanted to know more about the production side of the music and that’s when learnt how to make beats for himself and his fellow mates. But that was not enough, he pushed himself and learnt to arrange music and produce his music. In 2013 Crisso’s recorded his first studios album which did not do well because of finances and other factors contributing. But throughout this whole ordeal he has been able to stay focus and driven. Crisso’s sound has improved during the years and has able to stay relevant to the music scene. Throughout his musical journey Crisso has been able to reach out and influence other aspiring rappers and pass on his knowledge. Now Crisso is busy with his latest offering Diba’s in Mandela EP with eight tracks. Crisso is a firm believer in hard work, patience and perseverance. And continues to wait for his opportunity to reach to the whole world with his music Crisso says: ambition is the fuel of the driven.
