DJ Tukza, born Lawrance Itumeleng Manganyi on April 4, 1989, in Ga-Rankuwa, South Africa, is a versatile record producer known for his innovative Afro tech sound. His musical journey began in 2004, where he discovered his passion for DJing at clubs, pubs, parties, and outdoor events. Over the years, he honed his skills and ventured into writing and producing music, collaborating with various artists in the South African music scene.
In 2019, DJ Tukza made his mark with the release of his first Afro tech single, "Ibiza," which garnered attention for its unique blend of African rhythms and electronic beats. He continued to impress audiences with singles like "Memories," "Jungle King," and "Chasing My Dream," showcasing his versatility and creativity as a producer.
In 2020, DJ Tukza released his EP titled "Butsa," which further solidified his reputation as a rising star in the Afro tech genre. His 2021 release, "Don't Let Me Down," featuring Bongs Shakur, received critical acclaim and demonstrated his ability to evolve his sound while staying true to his roots.
Currently, DJ Tukza is working on an Afro Tech album featuring talented producers JayWeez and Deepaholiq. JayWeez is known for his expertise in Afro Beat and Amapiano, while Deepaholiq has worked with renowned artists such as Odumodublvck.
