Gome Riki Tu, born Rikitu Israel Gabayo in 1995 in Nekemte, Oromia, Ethiopia, is a prominent Ethiopian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is particularly influential in the Oromo music scene, blending genres such as hip-hop, gangsta rap, drill, and trap music. Gome Riki Tu began his music career in 2019, with his breakthrough coming in 2020 through the release of his song Qoricha Roorroo. He is known for his powerful lyrics and his dedication to representing Oromo culture and language in his music. Gome Riki Tu released notable singles such as Furgaatuu and Mammagaala in 2022, followed by his album Namaa Gama in 2023. His music often addresses themes related to social justice and personal struggles, making him a voice for young Oromo people.
