Goodfingers Records

Bio

Goodfingers Records was formed in 2006 by Victor Kgantlape in the center of Free State province in (Mangaung)Bloemfontein. The company was formally registered in 2011 after producing a well-known artist by the name of Peter Nthwane. The company then went on to produce both local and national artists, including Rofhiwa Manyaga, Chris Powell (USA), Manana Ramongae, Tsepo Tshola, Bhudaza Mapefane, Takie Ndou, Siphokazi, Tinah Mnumzana, Danielle Stillo, and many other well-known South African brands nationwide.

In 2016, Goodfingers Records launched its first music project called Let Arts Be Alive (LABA). LABA is a programme aimed at grooming and nurturing young talent from grassroots to international platforms such as the MIDEM Festival, Primavera, SXSW (USA), and the Jamaica Music Conference.
LABA has hosted workshops, seminars, and webinars to create a network for artists in the Free State Province and South Africa at large. The programme has impacted artists with skill development, edutainment curriculum and socio-economic development in the arts.

As an umbrella to LABA, Goodfingers has created a Pre Easter Jazz Chillout Session around Easter time to give platform to local artists.
LABA also runs an online radio through the Zeno app to introduce our artists to the world.
