Mandy the chosen Zulu

Mandy Mhlongo, known as The Chosen Zulu, is a Durban-based guitarist, rapper, and event organiser. She is recognised for her unique style and dedication to inspiring audiences across South Africa. With a background that fuels her creativity, she channels her individuality into her work, bringing a fresh perspective to the music scene.

The Chosen Zulu has collaborated with notable brands like Crystal Cars, The Buuny Bar, and Kaskades, solidifying her presence in creative industries. Her achievements include winning the Gagasi FM SHERO Award (2020) and the South African Woman in Music Awards for Best Musician (2020), reflecting her impact and talent.

Her media appearances include One Mic (SABC 1 - Season 3), where she represented KZN as the only female artist, and The Mic: Africa Season 3, a 2x Emmy-nominated show that took her career to new heights, even featuring her on a Times Square billboard. She also appeared on Daily Thetha (SABC 1), discussing the artist’s journey and challenges.
