MJ Summers

MJ Summers is a R&B artist from South Africa. Her sound originates from a church environment where her talent was cultivated. MJ Summers believes that R&B chose her as she is a natural storyteller who not only believes in telling her own story but also those of the marginalized. A voice for the voiceless most would refer to her as, she is a canvas to navigating the African love stories through R&B.
Her music career kicked off in 2010 when she released her first single "Too good for that" featuring Julu Sound. She had the honor of later on sharing stages with Babes Wodumo , Kelly Khumalo and opened for DJ Zinhle. She's been able to do this by performing at the well - known Durban events such as Wine Wednesday and The Durban Fashion Fair. After several collaborations and single releases in 2020 MJ Summers released her first masterpiece project, the Fungani EP which left people in awe of the R&B Princess and therefore crowning her the R&B Princess.
Soon after releasing the well anticipated Fungani ep, MJ Summers has really come out to the lime light as the Exes hit maker, a single in her Fungani ep. As radio stations were raving about her ep and playing it back to back on their playlist, MJ began her radio tour and was 6th on the radio charts for the R&B category. MJ Summers appeared on Trace tv with other international R&B females as the femme hour music videos of the year. Fungani is available on all digital platforms.
