Mr Kendy

John Kennedy (born in Katsina State in 1998) is a fast-rising Nigerian Afrobeats singer, songwriter, stage performer, photographer, blogger, and recording artist.

Mr Kendy, whose real name is John Kennedy Magnus, relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, with his mother at the age of three. They moved to the capital Abuja in 2007 to pursue his studies at the Government Secondary School in Kubwa. He is the first and only son in the family. His mother is from Kogi State and his father is from Imo State.

At the age of nine, Mr Kendy discovered an affinity for music. As he grew older, he was influenced by Ice Prince and Davido, who inspired the artist to pursue a career in music.
