Nkateko Mozambique
Bio
Chude Mondlane is a singer, songwriter, performing artist, and music producer by profession and established the production company, Nkateko Mozambique to promote local female artists.
She trained in modern dance and classical ballet in the US and Russia in the former Soviet Union during her formative years and received a BA in Anthropology and African Studies from Oberlin College in 2001. Later she returned to Mozambique to produce cultural festivals to promote local music and dance groups for regional tourism.
Her musical journey spans across continents from Africa to Japan to Europe and the USA collaborating with musicians from AfroJazz, R&B to World Music. CHUDE has worked with legendary musicians such as Abdhula Ibrahimo, Hugh Masekela, Sergio Mendes, Roberta Flack, Marcus Miller as well as collaborations with many musicians from the Mozambican urban music scene.
