NKOSIIKING
Bio
Nkosisphile ‘NKOSIIKING’ Ngcobo, is a song-writer, recording artist & producer born and raised in Pietermaritzburg, KZN, South Africa. He takes music as one of the most important things in his life. Started making music at the tender age of just 13 years. He has done a lot for himself and has managed to grow and be solid as an artist and as a writer and importantly as a producer, which is something he is very proud of.
His musical influences were introduced to him by his older cousin when he was still very young, it was at that point in his life that he would fall in love with music, mostly hip-hop, the likes of Jay Z, G-Unit, 50 Cent amongst other American hip-hop artists have been the prominent musical influences in his life. However, as he grew as an artist especially now, he has found more influences from South African artists and Africa at large, he says he is falling in love with old South African music even more now that he has grown as a musician. The likes of Brown Dash, Boom-Shaka, he says he's in-love with Lebo Mathosa, these are just to name a few of his South African favorites.
“MUSIC FOR ME IS EVERYTHING, MUSIC COMES FIRST AND IT IS OVERALL VERY IMPORTANT. MUSIC SAVED MY LIFE SO IT IS SOMETHING I'LL NEVER TAKE LIGHTLY OR EVER LEAVE”. - NKOSII

MUSICAL HISTORY:
Since the beginning of his career when he recorded his first song when he was just 13 years back in the year 2010 NKOSIIKING has released quite a lot of music. This includes an extended play (EP), a mixtape and a compilation album, all of these projects alongside collaboration projects with fellow musicians he grew up with and a number of singles, and as of recent a studio album which he executive produced and engineered himself.
However as much as his discography is a good one for a young artist, he released all of this music under different stage names, a mistake he thinks taught him a lot about committing to a brand even if it’s not working out until it does.
However, this multi-talented sensation says he is now wiser and every decision he makes about his music career is very calculated and has to pay off sooner or later. Critics say that this young man's future in music is...
