Ntuthuko Hlongwa
Bio
Ntuthuko Hlongwa is a professional musician/bass player who studied music through UKUSA programme at UKZN University Howard College back in 2008.
He began his career professionally in 2010 and has performed with artists like Sifiso Ncwane, Andile kaMajola, Mthunzi Namba, Khaya Mthethwa, Afro Soul, Mondli Ngcobo, Solomon Willy, Brenda Mtambo.
Hlongwa has toured Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland.
In 2010, he formed a band called Soothing Sounds which gained experience by taking features in big stages around the country like The Durban Playhouse, Ugu jazz festival, Durban Jazz Festival, Macufe Festival, Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival and many others.
He is a musical director at Umlazi Oasis Church.
