Pinagare Entertainment

Based in Francistown, Botswana, Pinagare Entertainment is a music group headed by Omphile Theodore Sebina (Accar) and Yvonne Portia Kelatlhegile (Lady-P). Pinagare was formed after Mr. Sebina & Ms. Kelatlhegile spent several years (since 2006 & 2008 respectively) partaking in music as dancers for different bands and groups. Music has always been their dream but when they came across one another in 2012, they realized a common goal. In 2015, they decided to take their working relationship at a higher and registered Pinagare Entertainment.

Their music is focused on the Botswana traditions, it reflects on the Tswana culture. It features traditional dance (Borankana), Tswana choirs (Dikhwaere) and Afro-pop. Their operations are still but not limited to local performances.

Music brings minds together, develop and expand the universe of human discourse. Understanding more about music contributes towards understanding of our people.

Our elders have been performing Tswana traditional song and dances for different occasions and each tribe had unique singing and the dances individually had meanings / were aligned to either entertainment or ceremonies. The music and dances had their specific times depending on what they were aligned to at that particular moment.
With the ascending of generations - still carrying on the Botswana Culture legacy, people started infusing instruments' melodies to the traditional songs - a nice folk tune came to realization. As years passed by, people migrated and a sense of learning continued to be instilled and 'they say "culture is dynamic" - the inception of modern instruments brought about another symmetrical - yet on point Contemporary Tune of our Music.

Tswana music is extremely diverse, mostly due to the diversity of our tribes.

Pinagare Entertainment therefore encompass the whole Tswana music - infused with both traditional & modern instruments and brings to the world Tswana music genres - Borankana, Dikhwaere & Afro-pop.
