VUKANI CELE (V.K) Saxophonist born in South Africa KZN 1984 January 07.
Started local perfoming art in the mid 90s.
In 1997 commenced with instruments in JAZZ and Classic at Siyakhula community music center in Umlazi with Dr. Brian Thusi (Jazz), Dr. Andile Khumalo (music theory) K.H Bhengu (mentor brass performance), Brian Clarke of The Field Band Foundation, Jerry Kunene (saxophone teacher).
Joined Military band voluntarily to acquire more skills.
Then joined the Police band as professional musician.
Worked with a number of artists including Dr. Jonas Gwangwa, Tsepo Tsola, Mafikizolo, Nathi Mankayi,Zakes Bantwini, Lloyd Cele, Brent Harris and the workshops by Hugh Masekela & more lectures in Grahamstown (JOY OF JAZZ)
So then the quintessential part of experience traveling the world Europe to Middle East (Dubai). West Africa to Southern Africa i.e Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Sychelles etc. played a phenominal role in the making of artist of this calliber.
Played an integral part in Different National events: DSTV Awards, Lilizela Awards & NACMA.
T.V production :Generations The Legacy with Dr. Jonas Gwangwa & Claude Gombard, Imizwilili with UKHAMBA production.
Music Festivals & corporate events sharing stages and backing various artists.
This comes to succeeding in Live & in Studio recording.
Which makes one to manage writing & recording own music at present.
