Audiomack launches Supporters revenue feature for artists
US music streaming and discovery platform Audiomack on Tuesday announced the launch of the Supporters feature to allow artists access to a new revenue stream while enabling fans to directly support songs and albums from their favourite artists.

Launched in 2012, Audiomack boasts more than 20 million monthly users globally. The platform has played an integral role in breaking new acts into the scene and has helped rising African stars like Nigeria’s Omah Lay to reach global audiences. As of December 2021, Audiomack is the top-ranked music streaming app on Apple’s iOS in Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal and Kenya.
The Supporters tool seeks to lessen the challenges artists and creators face in monetising content. It also forms part of Audiomack’s artist-first ethos that includes “treating artists as they see themselves – as entrepreneurs building profitable careers.”
It will enable artists and musicians to directly engage with their fans when they release new music, express their appreciation for direct support through a variety of messaging options, and share exclusive content.
“Supporters creates brand new monetisation opportunities for our creator community while bringing dedicated fans closer to the music and artists they love,” Audiomack co-founder and CEO Dave Macli said.
Fans can participate in Supporters by purchasing support badges for individual songs and album releases. Once fans complete their badge purchase, their contribution will be forever memorialised on their Audiomack profile and on the artist’s individual song or album page. To help fans show their support on social media, Audiomack provides custom shareable graphics. Supporters are ranked on three levels: First, Top and Latest.
To take advantage of Supporters, artists must apply for and gain access to the Audiomack Monetization Program (AMP), or distribute their music to Audiomack through participating partners such as Warner Music Group, Amuse, AudioSalad Direct, DistroKid, EMPIRE, FUGA, Stem and Vydia.
