Malian ngoni virtuoso Bassekou Kouyate has been announced as one of the performers at the 2023 Robert Browning Associates World Music Concerts set to take place at Roulette Intermedium in New York, US, from March to May.
The concerts, which will feature other leading artists from around the world, will also see Senegalese kora master Seckou Keita take to the stage in the company of celebrated Cuban pianist Omar Sosa and Venezuelan percussionist Gustavo Ovalles in a show that will fuse jazz, Latin and African sounds.
