Burna Boy’s Last Last one of Google’s most-searched songs in 2022
Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy and English singer-songwriter Harry Styles each registered one song on Google’s top 10 most-searched songs of 2022, making them the only African and Western artists, respectively, to appear on the list dominated by Asian musicians.
At the close of every year, Google shares the trending searches, with the 2022 music list featuring several Indonesian and Japanese songs as well as a reggaeton-inspired Pakistani track.
Burna Boy came in at number 10 courtesy of his monster hit ‘Last Last’, while Styles’ ‘As It Was’ was seventh.
The number one most-searched song worldwide is ‘Tak Ingin Usai’ (Don’t Want to End) by Indonesian singer Keisya Levronka. The hit is Keisya’s fourth single released under Universal Music Indonesia and the first song by an Indonesian singer under Universal Music Indonesia to chart on Spotify’s Global Top 200.
