Call for applications: Audio Girl virtual summer masterclass
The Audio Girl Foundation in Nigeria is inviting applications for its upcoming summer masterclass from 22 July to 26 August.
Audio Girl is a non-profit dedicated to promoting the participation of young African girls/women in the music industry by empowering and equipping them with audio technology and music business skills. This is achieved through a variety of training programmes, workshops and mentorship initiatives that are available both online and in-person throughout the year.
The call follows a March partnership with Nigeria-based Afrobeats label Mavin Records on a five-day, female-only bootcamp in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
It is open to up-and-coming female creatives in the music industry, including songwriters, independent artists, producers, sound engineers and music executives who are serious about moving their music/audio/creative career to the next level.
The month-long masterclass will equip young female creatives with practical guidelines for creating and navigating the audio and creative space.
