Call for applications: Lyrics competition in the US

The call, titled Demo Your Lyrics, is intended for songwriters and lyric writers around the world. Participants should enter their lyrics under the Lyrics Only category.

Ten winners will have the opportunity to turn their lyrics into a fully recorded song while another 71 winners will share various prizes.

Entrants can submit as many songs as they wish in the same category or in multiple categories.

Some categories may have additional criteria. Production/recording quality and vocal ability are not criteria (except in the Performance category in which vocals are a judging criteria).

Depending on the category, submissions are judged on the following criteria:

• Creativity.
• Originality.
• Lyrics (excludes songs that do not have lyrics).
• Melody.
• Arrangement.
• Overall likeability.

The ISC is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional and international arena. The ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting. Amateur and professional songwriters and musicians are invited to participate. The ISC boasts a prestigious panel of judges and offers exposure and the opportunity to have participants' songs heard by the influential decision-makers in the music industry.
