Following the North American leg, the group will return to South Africa in April before embarking on a national tour in May, with performances scheduled in Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. Their tour will continue throughout the year, culminating in a grand celebration in December.
“It’s an amazing experience to walk in the footsteps of our father and all those who established this group,” group member Sibongiseni Shabalala, said. “I’ve realised that I, too, have been with the group for over 30 years. This proves that our legacy continues to grow from strength to strength. In a few years, we will be celebrating 70 years, an incredible milestone in global music history. We thank South Africans, the entire continent, and the world for supporting us throughout this journey.”
Fans across Africa can also look forward to witnessing Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s captivating live performances, with planned stops in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. With a career spanning more than six decades, the group has earned multiple Grammy Awards and widespread recognition for their unique fusion of traditional Zulu music and contemporary influences, solidifying their place as one of the most influential vocal ensembles of all time.
