Call for applications: M for Montreal showcases

Each year, M for Montreal brings together about 300 professionals for meetings, conferences, workshops and showcases. An application fee of Can$40 (about US$30) is required for each applicant. The fee will be reimbursed if the artist or group is not selected.

The application deadline is 1 June 2020. 

Eligibility

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be artists who wish to develop their career on a national and international level.
• Have a representative, a commercialised album, a few shows, a music video, and a good Facebook fan base.

Requirements 

• A short biography.
• Music tracks.
• Photos. 
• Updated press kit.

Selection process

• Once the application is submitted, the primary contact will receive a confirmation email.
• The preselection committee will then analyse the applications and award a score based on originality, artistic quality and career development of the group/artist. 
• The artists with the highest scores will then be submitted to the programming team, which will send out the official invitations.

Note: M for Montreal will provide the performance fee but applicants will be required to cater for their travel and accommodation.
