Call for applications: Music production programme for women in the MENA region

The programme is supported by the British Council Tunisia and will take place between the end of May and December 2021. It will offer an opportunity to 26 participants to enhance their artistic skills and creativity. 

The programme has two formats:

Online

The training will be based around monthly online workshops that members can access live on Zoom or watch back. The workshops will be hosted by women leading the way in their fields of expertise, such as music production, sound engineering, composing, deejaying and artist marketing.

Offline 

Participants will attend a practice workshop on Saturdays or Sundays each week at La Fabrique for three hours under the guidance of professional Tunisian DJs and producers. 

Eligibility

Applicants should be women and gender minority DJs, music producers, sound designers and sound engineers from the following countries: Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Note:

Selected participants will pay a monthly fee of 100 Tunisian dinars ($36).
