Call for artists: MTN Bushfire 2023 in eSwatini
MTN Bushfire festival is inviting live performers to participate in its 16th edition at House on Fire in Malkerns Valley, eSwatini, from 26 to 28 May 2023.
The organisers are calling on live performers of the highest calibre, who share the festival’s mission to celebrate creative expression while promoting social responsibility and inclusion, to send in applications via the online application process.
Rooted in Africa and packaged to the world, MTN Bushfire’s line-up has always embraced the eccentric and unearthed the eclectic, featuring a wholesome mix of pan-African and international artists from across different genres who do more than simply entertain, but also use their art as a powerful form of creative expression.
MTN Bushfire is looking for a diversity of musical styles and genres. Every edition features an eclectic mix of African music, traditional sounds and cultural music styles from across the globe such as electro, Afropop, jazz, folk, rock and house, among others.
The festival’s various stages and platforms also host a wide range of performances, including dance showcases, art exhibitions and installations, theatre, poetry, storytelling, puppetry and film.
Applications close on 15 January 2023.
