Call for entries: 2021 Global Music Awards
The international Global Music Awards in the US are accepting entries in any genre for this year’s edition.
The awards were launched in 2011 and so far participants have submitted entries from around the world, including Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria and Cameroon. Last year, Ugandan rapper Serufusa Sekidde won a gold medal for his album The Solutionary Manifesto. In 2019, South African filmmaker Uga Carlini and maskandi musician Sagweba were awarded bronze medals in the Music Video and Folk Music categories, respectively.
“It is measured respect for the Global Music Awards that well-known Grammy and Emmy artists submit their work to Global Music Awards without solicitation,” the Global Music Award official website reads. “If you win our honours, our credibility may make it easier for you to lock in bookings, be discovered by A&R executives and be signed by labels.”
