Call for entries: Boomplay music contest in Nigeria

The contest is running under the theme, Your Voice, Your Passion, and forms part of the company’s vision to provide a platform for undiscovered musicians to take their craft to the next level. It is running in partnership with app sharing service SHAREit Lite and short video app Vskit.

The contest is divided into three stages: qualifying stage, semi-final stage and grand finale. Participants stand a chance of winning ₦10m in prizes.

During the qualifying stage, entries will be decided by a jury and the popularity of videos posted on Instagram, combined. The top 50 contestants will move on to the second stage.

The deadline for submissions is 23 October.

How to participate

• Interested applicants must record a one-minute video of themselves singing. 
• Post the video on Instagram with the hashtag #BoomplayCampusMusicStar.
• Register and submit the Instagram video link here. 

Prizes

Prizes will be rewarded to the top three finalists.

The winner of the competition will take home a cash prize of ₦1.5m. A new single and music video will also be produced for them for free. The first runner- up will be rewarded ₦1m, while the second runner-up will win ₦500 000.

The finalists will also enjoy one-on-one mentorship with industry heads and artists as well as an exposure and support package on Boomplay.
