Call for entries: Dawn Initiative concert scores

The Dawn Initiative seeks to create a space for composers from all over the world to reflect on the theme through the lens of their personal experiences, stories and cultural backgrounds. 

Four successful composers will be selected by a jury panel of professional composers and performers and rewarded with $900, $700, $500 and $400 honorariums. The scores will be rehearsed and performed in November. 

The application deadline 29 July 2019 and successful composers will be notified in September 2019.

How to participate

Composers are required to submit:

• One score, parts and audio recording or MIDI realisation if available (4-6 minutes).
• The music score in PDF.
• A short profile of the composer (200 words)
• A brief description of the work.

Interested individuals can submit scores in any genre such as contemporary, classical, folklore and jazz, for solo, duo, trio or any combination of the following instruments: flute, soprano, clarinet, piano, violin, cello and fixed media (stereo) to infodawninitiative@gmail.com.
