Call for entries: Ghana’s Emerging Music Awards 2022
The organisers of the Emerging Music Awards in Ghana have announced the opening of nominations ahead of the 2022 edition slated for 1 October.
The call is open to artists, record labels, producers, artiste managers and the general public.
Now in its fourth year, the awards platform is the brainchild of Kusstar Entertainment in partnership with Kri8 Concept. Its vision is to celebrate deserving up-and-coming musicians across Ghana’s major genres.
This year’s edition is running under the theme, Give the Music A Chance, and the winners will be determined by a jury, an academy of Ghanaian entertainment gatekeepers and general public votes. At the 2021 edition, hip hop artist Black Sherif won the coveted Emerging Artist of the Year prize.
To be eligible, submitted works must have been released between 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022.
Nominations can be filed here before or on 31 July.
