Call for proposals: 2021 Liverpool Arab Arts Festival
Liverpool Arab Arts Festival (LAAF) is inviting all artists from or based in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to submit proposals ahead of its event in the UK from 16 to 25 July 2021.
The call is also open to artists from around the world with MENA or Arab heritage who are influenced by issues related to climate change.
The event aims to increase awareness and appreciation of Arab arts and culture, as well as provide a platform for cultural exchange through arts and community events. LAAF’s 2021 edition will tackle the impact of climate change on MENA communities, many of whom are grappling with the destruction of their land and environments as a result of conflict and colonialism.
