Call for registration: Intellectual property workshop in Kenya
Strathmore University is calling on members of the public to attend a series of intellectual property (IP) rights workshop at its campus in Nairobi, Kenya, from 23 August to 20 September.
The workshop, an initiative of Strathmore Intellectual Property Law Clinic, are inspired by the Ubunifu project, which aims to promote the effective use, exploitation of creativity and sensitisation of IP law.
Participants will engage in indepth discussions around IP rights as well as how to secure and protect them.
The dates and topics for the Strathmore Intellectual Property Law Clinic Rights workshop are as follows:
- 23 August – IP for Creatives 1.
- 30 August – IP for Creatives 2.
- 6 September – IP and Information and Communications Technology.
- 20 September – IP and Entrepreneurship.
All sessions will run from 2.30pm to 4pm at Strathmore University's Microsoft Policy Innovation Centre. Registration for the talks is free and open to all members of the public.
