Cassper Nyovest to join Future at Mozambique, Tanzania concerts
South African rapper Cassper Nyovest is set to share the stage with US hip hop sensation Future in Mozambique and Tanzania for the Castle Lite Unlocks concert series slated for July. The two gigs will take place in Maputo and Dar es Salaam on 21 and 22 July respectively.
- Cassper Nyovest and Future will be joined by Diamond Platnumz in Namibia.
South African music fanatics are not to be left out, with beer brand Castle Lite bringing out US artists Travis Scott and Bryson Tiller to Johannesburg and Polokwane on 15 and 16 June.
The Tanzanian show will also see Diamond Platnumz joining the Nyovest and Future. This will be the first time the US rapper will be performing in Mozambique and Tanzania.
Last year, Future, real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, was in Johannesburg where he headlined the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) at the TicketPro Dome in October. He was joined by African stars such as Nyovest, Diamond Platnumz, Emtee, Kwesta, Patoranking, Ali Kiba, Babes Wodumo, Nasty C, YCee and Yemi Alade.
“Castle Lite is on a mission to unlock international heavyweights and bring the experience to the whole continent,” Castle Lite general manager Becky Opdyke said. “South Africa will be treated with Travis Scott and Bryson Tiller in June, next stop has to match that hype and who better than Future to grace the Extra Cold Stage for the first time in Tanzania and Mozambique. We’re looking forward to this musical takeover and we’re excited to work with the biggest stars in Africa – Cassper Nyovest and Diamond Platnumz.”
Meanwhile, the South African local line-up for the Scott-Tiller concerts will be unveiled on 5 May. This will also be the very first time the Unlocks goes to the northeastern city of Polokwane
Tickets to the South African concerts are on sale via TicketPro. Fans also stand a chance to win tickets for each of the events. For more details visit the Castle Lite official Facebook page.
