
Davido inducted as voting member of Recording Academy
Nigerian singer and songwriter Davido, has been inducted as a voting member of the Recording Academy, the body responsible for the Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy announced his inclusion on 23 September through its official Instagram page. Davido joins thousands of international music professionals who vote to determine nominees and winners at the annual awards.
The first round of voting for the 2026 Grammy Awards opens on 3 October, with nominations scheduled to be announced on 7 November. The awards ceremony will take place on 1 February 2026.
Davido was named alongside several other artists and industry figures, including Offset, Ravyn Lenae, Jessie Reyez, Zac Brown Band, Steve Copeland, Miles Minnick, Anne Akiko Meyers, Damien Sneed and Maya Elizabeth.
In response to his induction, Davido said he was honoured to be part of the Recording Academy community and highlighted the significance of contributing to the Grammy selection process.
His recognition comes after receiving three nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Best African Music Performance for ‘Unavailable’ featuring Musa Keys, and Best Global Music Album for his fourth studio project Timeless.
