DJ Wyse delivers Mame Sanka
Last year was a roaring successful year for Afropop, Afrobeats and contemporary African sounds in general. Burna Boy Davido, Wizkid, Stonebwoy and others made an indelible mark on the global music scene and possibly set the tone for other acts from the continent to continue blazing the trail in 2020.
- DJ Wyse has played alongside top Afrobeats stars.
On the boiler now is DJ Wyse, who has played exciting gigs, including a standout performance at Worcester Caribbean Carnival and New England African Festival.
Currently, his single ‘Mame Sanka’, featuring Spicer Dabz TV, exposes old and new listeners to a preview of what is to come from Wyse Music.
Directed by KP Selorm and produced by Wyse Music, it rings of the smooth highlife-Afrobeats fusion that West Africa has sold to the rest of the world to high acclaims.
The Ghanaian-born Worcester resident DJ Wyse’s career started in Ghana, but it wasn’t until 2006 that he went professional. Currently running a successful music production company called SoundCheck in the US with branches in Ghana, DJ Wyse doubles up as one of the official DJ’s for CodeGreen Music.
Wyse, whose real name is Daniel Opare, has deejayed live for artists such P-Square (Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Wizkid (Nigeria), Kcee (Nigeria) and Sarkodie (Ghana), among many others.
