Fik Fameica, Joeboy fuse magic in ‘Wansakata’
The collaboration between West and East African artists is on the rise as some of the best sounds are being released to the delight of music fans in Africa and beyond.
The above best describes the collaboration between award-winning Ugandan rapper Fik Fameica and Nigerian artist Joeboy. The two artists fused their lyrical prowess in ‘Wansakata’, an easy sound and potential club banger with energetic dance moves. The song was licensed to TuneCore on behalf of Fresh Gang. Both artists, on top of their game, are relatively new to the music scene and are the sensation of the moment.
The song opens with a catchy beat followed by Joeboy’s pleasant-sounding verse. Fik Fameica dominates the song with a sample of Major Lazer and DJ Maphoriosa's hit song ‘Particular’. On the other hand, Joeboy maintains his heavy flows throughout the song in a move intended to amuse his fans. The video for the song was shot in Uganda and directed by Sasha Vybz.
Fik Fameica rose to prominence with ‘Byenyenya’ – a song that earned him a spotlight in the country as well as becoming the most booked Ugandan artist in 2017. Signed to Karma Iven record label, Fik Fameica has also worked with Patoranking on ‘Omu Bwati’.
Joeboy’s meteoric rise to the top is remarkable. His last offering titled ‘Baby’, released in March, is a constant on radios and around Nigeria. The song's animated video ‘Baby’ is dramatic and outstanding, little wonder he is the toast of the moment, coming out with ‘Beginning’ another love song that is now the go to wedding song for newlyweds. Joeboy is currently signed under Mr Eazi’s Banku Music label.
