Ghana: Kwabena Kwabena to represent motorcycle brand Kibo
Ghanaian highlife singer Kwabena Kwabena has scored an endorsement deal with Kibo Motorcycles Ghana.
The development was made public during an unveiling ceremony in Accra at the weekend attended by the musician, representatives of Kibo, and members of the press.
Kwabena Kwabena also confirmed the move in a post on the social media platform Instagram: “Hello Fam. We signed a new ambassadorial deal @kibomotorcycles_gh. To God be the glory.”
The company expressed excitement in selecting Kwabena Kwabena as brand ambassador, highlighting their preference for a Ghanaian representative whose qualities of safety, reliability, durability, and style reflect those of their bikes, which will be made in Ghana.
“This is more than just a partnership,” the company added. “We share a common vision.”
As the new face of the brand, the ‘Adult Music’ star will contribute to a series of advertising campaigns and promotional events designed to elevate Kibo’s marketing strategies through his celebrity influence.
Kibo rolled out its first bike in 2017, designed in the Netherlands and assembled in Kenya. Since then, Kibo has opened a number of retail and service centres across the country and elsewhere in Africa, such as Ghana.
“At Kibo, the relentless African spirit pushes us to keep producing safe, reliable products that inspire you to Go Do More,” the company website says, adding that “safe and reliable mobility is intrinsically who we are.”
A multiple-award-winning act and philanthropist, Kwabena Kwabena gained prominence after featuring on Kontihene’s 2004 hit ‘Esi’. His debut album Aso arrived in 2005 and over the years, he has released popular tracks such as ‘Ka Kyere Me’ and ‘Kwadede’. His last album Fa Me Saa arrived in 2023. He is reportedly readying his seventh LP, heralded by singles like ‘Fakye Me’.
In related news, fellow Ghanaian act Samini recently scored a deal to represent Oak Wellness Hub, a chiropractic services firm based in Accra.
“I’m excited for this because in my line of work, we travel around a lot, and we find it difficult to make time for such care, so if I’m partnering with an outfit like this, I’m at home,” the musician said.
