Ghana Music Awards UK returns with nominee list
Nominees for the second Ghana Music Awards UK have been announced.
For its list of nominees in 33 categories, organisers said they received over 100 figures in the Ghanaian music industry. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 1265 entries we received this year,” said UK-based event promoter Alordia Promotions. “Congratulations to all the nominees.”
The award ceremony will take place at the Gaumont Palace in London on 16 September.
While the awards caters mostly to the Ghanaian music industry, it has a category for African acts who have done noteworthy work from April 2016 – April 2017. That category, African Artist of the Year, sees such acts like Tekno and Eddy Kenzo receive nominations. Full list below:
