Ice Prince, Sauti Sol and more added to Bushfire line-up

The incredibly diverse line-up for the 10^th anniversary edition of the festival is truly a global celebration, with artists from every corner of the continent, as well as other parts of the world, set to entertain music lovers in the picturesque Malkerns Valley.

Several new additions have recently been made to the now-finalised line-up for this year's festival. They will join the other stars who have already been announced earlier this year, including Ghana’s sizzling-hot Blitz the Ambassador, Mali’s guitar-driven Songhoy Blues, award-winning South African groups Mafikizolo and Beatenburg, as well as multi-award winning rapper AKA, Zimbabwe’s legendary Oliver Mtukudzi and Swaziland’s own Bholoja, among many others.

The latest artists billed to perform on the MTN Bushfire Main Stage this year include Nigerian superstar Ice Prince, whose 2011 hit ‘Oleku’ is arguably considered Nigeria's most remixed song of all time, and who recently dropped this cool new video for the single ‘Season’.

The Nigerian hitmaker will be joined by popular Kenyan band Sauti Sol, who are currently promoting their new album Live and Die in Afrika with a groundbreaking tour of Kenya’s smaller towns.

From neighbouring South Africa, meanwhile, artists recently added to the bill for Bushfire include the pioneering DJ Zinhle, Jesse Clegg, talented son of the legendary Johnny Clegg, and acclaimed blues singer-songwriter Gerald Clark.

From further afield, Bushfire will also welcomes Egyptian/Israeli artist Hagar Samir, whose Middle Eastern beats create a unique groove to inspire people across all nations and religions to dance as one.

Bushfire has always celebrated a range of performing arts and this year is no different, with a truly multi-disciplinary range of performances. South Africa’s Steve Bennet, aka The Silent Conductor, conducts orchestras like no one else on earth. No one in his charge has rehearsed, and for some it may be the first time they have ever wielded an instrument - but the music they create together is guaranteed to inspire.

The Infamous BDI Entertainers will also be on hand with their exhilarating brand of street theatre and carnival, as will the Klitsgras Drumming crew, whose interactive drumming experiences have been wowing crowds since 1999.
