Jam-packed schedule for DOADOA in Uganda
DOADOA, the East African Performing Arts Market, is steadily becoming a regional hub for every industry professional with artistic showcases, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and networking sessions. The event is held in the Ugandan town of Jinja, which is easily accessible by both tourists and locals. The fourth edition of the market in 2015 will be held on 6 to 9 May,
DOADOA was created as a partnership initiative between the major stakeholders in the region – Bayimba International Festival of the Arts in Uganda, Sauti za Busara festival in Zanzibar, Sawa Sawa Festival in Kenya, KigaliUp in Rwanda, Caravan Records in Tanzania, Ketebul Music and Kenya Music Week in Kenya, and Selam Music and Jazzamba in Ethiopia.
DOADOA’s recently unveiled programming for 2015 will kick off with an exclusive opening ceremony in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, and will include the following exciting workshops, conferences and artist showcases:
