Music In Africa supports Children's Charity Concert
Music In Africa supports hosting of Charity Concert in aid of the Eruobodo House Orphanage
Music in Africa shall be assisting in organising a performance by the Lagos Jazz Series Orchestra, in support of the Eruobodo House, a home for Children. The Orchestra, founded by entrepreneur and impresario Oti Bazunu, is widely regarded as Nigeria's foremost Traditional Jazz Orchestra and has performed on a number of stages, notably the massive, eponymously named Lagos Jazz Series Festival, alongside legends Marcus Miller, Ola Onabule and more.
The concert scheduled for 6pm on Thursday, 12 February 2015, shall hold at Quintessence, Parkview, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The event shall also feature the Poetry of renowned Poet Evans Iheanetu anda screening of documentary, "Onunaekwuluora", based on the life of British Archaeologist and lover of Africa, Professor Thurstan Shaw.
The Eruobodo House Children's Home, located at Ijebu-Ode, in Nigeria, has been in existence for over seventeen years, catering for Orphans and children with severe disabilities and HIV. The Home, which has catered to over 500 children since founding, relies on donations from well-wishers and this concert is thus an important means of raising funds for the incredible work of the Charity.
Chief Aino-Oni-Okpaku, the Chairperson of the Ebunoluwa Foundation, under whom the Home is operated, expressed her thanks to Music In Africa, for its initiative in procuring the involvement of the esteemed Lagos Jazz Series Orchestra, for the fund-raising event.
